Interested in volunteering at Portage Lake this summer?  We use volunteers to fill in what the summer staff can't cover--this means volunteers could be working in the kitchen, on maintenance or counseling.  You must be at least 16 years old and please recognize that we prefer volunteers to be 18 years old or older.  Just because you fill out an application does not mean that you are guaranteed a volunteer spot. One unique program to highlight is our S.W.I.M. Team Program.  S.W.I.M. stands for Students Working in Ministry and is a five week discipleship program designed to give high school students a taste of what it is like to work at camp as well as encourage spiritual growth.  Members of the S.W.I.M. Team will be mentored by two S.W.I.M. Team directors.  Our S.W.I.M. program is a volunteer program, so participants will not be paid.  Check out the variety of other positions you can fill at Portage Lake by viewing our job descriptions page.
