The theme for summer 2010 is “Out of This World!”  This summer, camp will be an adventure taking campers from Onekama, Michigan into outer space!  Our summer staff will be leading extraterrestrial expeditions as they encourage campers to explore and learn about our Lord Jesus. “Out of This World” was inspired by Colossians 3:2, “Set you minds on things above, not on earthly things.”  As Christians, we believe our treasure is truly found in heaven. This summer we will encourage and challenge kids and family campers alike to set their minds to God, and not be distracted by all the commotion in the world.

So start packing your swimsuit, skateboard, running shoes, and space helmet because summer will be here in no time.  Summer 2010 will be an awesome-- you do not want to miss out.  At Portage Lake, we take great care in designing programs for specific age groups.  If your child is in 1^st grade and you are considering Pathfinder weekend, or if you have a 17 year old coming to Senior High, they will have a blast at Portage Lake!  Camp is a completely unique place where campers learn and experience in an outdoor setting, are cared for by trained Christian leaders, live in community, and are taught with spiritual objects. There’s no place else like Portage Lake!
